[Sample] Morning Fog Over Ella
A sample story: tea slopes, a slow train, and the kind of quiet that arrives before sunrise.
The train from Kandy takes nine hours and every one of them is worth it. We arrived after dark and woke to fog sitting on the tea slopes like a held breath.
By seven the pickers were already out, moving in a line across the green, voices carrying further than they should. I bought tea at a roadside table and drank it too hot, watching the valley empty itself of cloud.

Reflections
I keep returning to the idea that a place reveals itself in the first hour of the day, before it remembers it has visitors.
